Stephanie began her career in design as an intern in New York City in 2009. Since then, she’s explored many facets of the design practice from visual design, branding, design research, UX, design strategy, and service design. To her, all the roles come together under a unified design practice—with the fundamental belief that design is a co-creative and exploratory practice rooted in a curiosity for people and systems. As a designer, she believes in asking the right questions in order to find nuanced opportunities and translate them into playful outcomes for the real world. Stephanie gravitates towards projects that aren’t rigid—ones that reinterpret a context or provoke new questions. Through this practice, she hopes to shift how we see our surroundings and cultivate new possibilities for the future—one that is more flexible, open, and kinder to our environments.
Stephanie has lived around the world in Jakarta, Columbus, Halifax, Kathmandu, New York City, Singapore, and many short stints in between. She’s currently based in Singapore, working to instill a holistic design practice at Grab across the region.
