Eric Migicovsky is a general partner at Y Combinator helping early-stage startups around the world. He also founded Pebble Technology, the company behind the Pebble smartwatches. While studying engineering at the University of Waterloo in 2008, Eric began building smartwatches alongside a group of friends. In April 2012, Eric and his team launched Pebble on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, where it became the most successful crowdfunded project in Kickstarter’s history. Since it’s inception, Pebble sold over 2,000,000 watches and generated revenues of more than $200 million. In 2016, Pebble was acquired by Fitbit.
